About: Dr. Zahiruddin Mahmud Illius completed his MBBS in 1994, after which he completed his MCPS in Internal Medicine. He obtained his MD (Cardiology) from the National Institute of Cardiovascular Disease. He also earned DEM Degree in Diabetology and Endocrinology from BIRDEM. His professional career is decorated with MACP (USA). 

He is the first Bangladeshi Physician to have three specialist degrees in the field of Medicine; namely Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Diabetology & Endocrinology. Before joining Evercare Chattogram, Dr. Zahiruddin Mahmud Illius was the Interventional Cardiologist in United Hospital, and also served as Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Cardiology at President Abdul Hamid Medical College. He has vast training in Clinical and Interventional Cardiology from both home and abroad.

He has participated in international medical programs, events and workshops with numerous publications in renowned medical journals. He is a pioneer in Coronary Angioplasty in Chattogram, with outstanding performance in Complex Angioplasty and Peripheral Angioplasty including Primary Angioplasty for more than 15 years.
